JESS PATTRICK

Co-Founder and Performer

Jess graduated with a first class degree from the University of Kent in BA (Hons) Drama and Theatre Studies in 2020. Since her first job at fifteen years old as a karate instructor for mixed-ability pupils, Jess has continuously worked alongside children and is a passionate facilitator. Other relevant jobs and volunteering include a helper at her local day-care nursery, a drama classroom assistant, a school peer-support adviser and working in her local zoo. In the autumn of 2019, Jess volunteered at St Nicholas’s SEN School in Canterbury where she facilitated drama activities for children aged 4-5 with profound and multiple learning disabilities as part of the Applied Theatre programme. It was here that she combined her love for theatre with her previous experiences of working with children. Since then she has been actively researching ways to bring theatre to this community that often get overlooked by mainstream art forms and has been learning Makaton and other alternate forms of interaction to improve her non-verbal communication skills.
Jess loves goats, musicals and meeting friends.
