MADDIE RIGBY
Co-Creative Director
Maddie graduated from the University of Kent with a degree in Drama and Theatre Studies with a Year Abroad in 2021. At University she became passionate about a range of theatre practices including Puppetry, Performance Adaptation, Dramaturgy and Applied Theatre. Maddie also spent a year studying at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada and specialised in Design for Theatre, especially Set Design. Maddie has always had a huge love for Shakespeare and currently also works in the Visitor Operations Department at Shakespeare’s Globe. In this role she is able to share her passion for Shakespeare with everyone who visits the Globe Theatre. Maddie also loves music! She plays the Clarinet, achieving grade 8 in 2017, and is always looking for ways to incorporate music into the theatre she creates. Maddie has always been enthusiastic about encouraging young people within the arts, having facilitated both drama and music classes in the past, so when she was invited to be an Associate Artist by Moonbeam Theatre she was thrilled!
